You Never Know What's Around the Corner

I've just finished watching another Chinese drama, Corner with Love (and no, Rainie Yang isn't in it! Show Luo who was in Hi! My Sweetheart is in it though) and it's made me think about quite a few things that are quite relevant to me right now, such as if you never try, you'll never know what could have been. That's something I've been told many times! This drama has only further reinforced the message.

Now time to find my next drama to watch!...or maybe I should start studying...

To Get Her!

Well I've just finished watching my latest Chinese drama - ToGetHer (Superstar Express) featuring Jiro Wang and Rainie Yang.

At first I wasn't so sure about it as Rainie Yang didn't have her trademark long hair (not that I watch dramas based on what the girls look like), but I started to grow into it! I've been watching it from time to time on my iPod during bus rides home and finally finished watching the last of the 10 episode series last night at West City while waiting for Aonghas to finish work! 

My life suddenly feels so empty now! I really need to find a new drama to watch. I really want to try find something without Rainie Yang in it as I would like to diversify my tastes, but I'm aware I said that last time!

Guys Make the First Move!

So I was watching my Asian Drama Devil Beside You as you do when you have nothing to do and you're addicted to drama, and there's this guy who has trouble initiating things with his girlfriend, and got told by his grandma to make the first move!

It's kinda funny because lately everyone's been reminding me about this, peer pressuring/persuading/encouraging/motivating...whatever you like to call it...me to make the first move! 

Sometimes I think what's the worst that can happen? Lose my dignity? But then I get the occasional reminder from my friend who brings me back to Earth, that it can make things weird or awkward, or wreck friendships!

I guess this makes life interesting doesn't it?

Do Nice Guys Always Finish Last?

I've just started watching this Taiwanese Drama 'Devil Beside You' in which this girl falls for the nice guy, but the bad guy or 'devil' comes along and she gets drawn to him and once again it seems as though the nice guy loses out (I've only watched three episodes!).

It got me thinking though, do nice guys always finish last?

Back to Reality

Well I've just completed watching all 30 episodes of It Started with a Kiss, the first Asian drama series I've watched in its entirety!

I won't spoil it for others who want to watch it but it was pretty cool! I came home from the Rutherford College X-Factor talent show last night and tried to watch the remaining three episodes but Aonghas was uploading some videos from the talent show, so the internet was a little slow and I gave up half-way through the last episode. I watched the remaining part of the episode when I came home from teaching today though.

I can't believe I've spent almost 30 hours this semester watching drama! Just imagine what I could have done in that time! Then again I enjoyed the drama so that's all that matters!

There's a sequel to the drama called 'They Kiss Again', but I don't think I'll be watching that till after the semester is over or else I might not pass!

She Wants to be a Pharmacist!

She's holding onto Basic and Clinical Pharmacology, a textbook I used a lot in 3rd year!

Making Good Times

I'm so proud I managed to teach two of my students all about major scales (TTSTTTS) and key signatures! OK that's very sad...The night before recorder classes I'm always dreading the next morning and what class will be like, because when the students don't get it then it's not a very good feeling. When classes go well and you students get it though you finish class even more passionate about what you're doing. Today was one of those days!

I managed to convince my mum to check out the Asian video store in the city that is having a closing down sale with over 50% off some of the items. I have to say some of the dramas sound quite...interesting! Most of them didn't have English blurbs on the back though, so Aonghas had to use his phone to take a photo of the cover and search it up Google (talk about the wonders of technology!).

We also had no idea which dramas were good (just which ones had the hot girls...), so we didn't really buy anything except a DVD set on tai chi for my dad. I was hoping to get a Cantonese drama series so I could improve my Cantonese but maybe I should do some research first!

Right now though, I've been watching this Taiwanese drama called 'It Started with a Kiss' about a girl who isn't the smartest girl in the world falling for probably the smartest guy in the world doesn't seem to have any feelings or emotions. When an earthquake destroys her house, she moves in with the guy (their parents are best friends), and she starts to pursue him. I'm up to episode 18 right now! It's not actually too bad, even though sometimes the characters can annoy me, but it's a drama afterall!

Late Nights and Late Starts

These past few days I've started uni after 1pm which is quiet unusual for me as I'm used to starting uni early in the morning! That has meant I've ended up sleeping in a bit which isn't good! Talk about wasting my time!

I had a law workshop yesterday that started after 1pm. When I got there, I saw all these high school students in the cafe, and wondered if Rutherford would be there. I did spot a small group of Rutherford students and a science teacher I knew! She still recognised me which was cool!

Earlier today I had my first pharmacotherapy workshop which was supposed to be in level 3 of one of the buildings in Grafton, but it turned out that there was only construction going on. While some of my classmates and I were wandering around the floor looking for our possible room, the tutor came up and realised there were no rooms for us to have our workshop in, so she made a note on a piece of paper, got out some chewing gum, chewed it and then used it to stick the note to the wall! I haven't seen that being done by staff before!

Fortunately I've got Fridays off, so I've been spending the last few hours watching Chinese drama...or more specifically Taiwanese drama, It Started with a Kiss. I know, I know...it's meant for girls but I'm a little addicted now and I've just finished watching episode 11!

I better get off to bed, or I'll never make it to my Dessert Club meeting in the morning!
